R&D&i Department

Aganova's R&D department mainly develops our star product, Nautilus, a system for detecting leaks in large-diameter water pipelines, working on several lines of work for its improvement:

-Optimisation of the sphere and its functions
-New insertion/extraction techniques
-Improved hardware and software
-New functionalities of the Nautilus system for application in other sectors.

Since the beginnings, all Nautilus innovation and development work was carried out with the company's own funds. Currently, own investment in R&D&i is subsidised by grants, refundable loans, etc., obtained by presenting R&D&i projects to different initiatives. By seeking these subsidies, we aim to have our product market-ready faster and more efficiently, thereby increasing our competitiveness in the sector.

In recognition of our in-house innovation efforts to date, Aganova received the award for the best use of technology in the sustainability field at the second edition of the Evolution Awards, sponsored by SUR and BBVA. This award acknowledged Aganova's commitment to innovation, its international vocation and its capacity to offer an innovative solution for the control of water and gas distribution and transport.

Aganova has obtained the EIBT certificate as an Innovative Technology-Based Company. The EIBT certificate recognises Aganova as a company that undertakes R&D&i processes systematically and continually, the results of which have been brought to the market through our star product, the Nautilus, the main core of our business activity.

The certificate attests to Aganova's capacity as a driving force of radical and disruptive innovation, having had direct repercussions on its business fabric of action, recording high rates of growth in production and job creation, which have been echoed in the rest of the companies involved in the development of its product.

Furthermore, because Aganova is a small-sized business, it has optimised its R&D expenditure, enabling it to develop a product such as Nautilus and market it across the globe in a very short time.

This certificate is a mark of distinction for Technology Based Innovators and is recognised by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism managed by ANCES, and is evaluated by the CDTI, CEEI and OTRI.
